A Book I Almost Gave Up On

A few years back my friend and I started writing romance novels for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). Now, I have always been a writer, mostly authoring short stories and articles, and the challenge of writing a romance novel sounded fun to me. So I wrote one. And then, I promptly put it away claiming it would never see the light of day.
I thought it was awful.
A year passed.
One day I was bored and decided to give it a read to see just how bad it really was, and to my surprise, after letting it sit for a year, I realized it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was. So I decided to edit it. For me, editing is where the real magic happens.
I poured over the manuscript, cutting swaths of text and fixing inconsistencies. I opted not to give up on the novel. To make it the best book I could make it and eventually, release it on Amazon. That eventual day is quickly approaching, and I hope that if you choose to read "More Than Words" you will find as much entertainment in reading it as I found in creating it.
